How To Open A Can Without A Can Opener Or Any Other Tools (VIDEO)

how to open a can without a can opener or any other toolsJust came across this awesome video that shows you how to open a can without a can opener or any other tools. Just think, if the SHTF, you needed to eat, you can, but you had no way of opening the can to eat – now you will 😉 Watch it below, then share this with everyone you know…even your non-prepper friends who think you’re crazy!

Being that they are “Crazy Russian Hackers”, their accent is a little thick. So I went ahead and got the video transcribed so you can read along as you listen and watch them show you how to open a can without a can opener:

CrazyRussianHacker: What’s up everybody? Welcome back to my laboratory where safety is number one priority. Well, it’s not my laboratory. That’s Alec’s laboratory. This is my Russian friend, and his laboratory has a lot of tools. And I’m going to do only the most epic experiments and awesome builder stuff with him once a week or twice a week. So, you might as well subscribe to his channel, and this is going to be awesome stuff.

So today we’re going to do how to open a can, any kind of can like this one…

Alec: … or maybe just a regular one.

CrazyRussianHacker: … yes, without any can opener or any kind of tools, no knives, nothing. Just hands…

Alec: … and a piece of concrete.

CrazyRussianHacker: Check it out.

So it’s the zombie apocalypse, I’m trying to survive, and I found a can with meat. I’m starving and I have nothing to open it, no tools whatsoever, but I have a lot of concrete. You know, you can find concrete anywhere on the street, right?

How do you open a can using concrete. Very simply, just put this part, not the bottom, but the top, on top of the concrete and rub it.

So once you’ve scraped a lot, all you’ve got to do is squeeze it, and you’ve opened it. And here’s the second one.

You see how all the edges are coming out now? And you squeeze it a little bit. Remember, you cannot use any knives. You see how it’s popping out. Boom.

And guess what? The cat’s going to survive too.

Alec: Alright, you guys ready? Just squeeze a little bit…

CrazyRussianHacker: Here you go.

Alec: … and now you can survive.

CrazyRussianHacker: That’s pretty much it. Let us know what you think in the comments below. Subscribe to Alec, his channel name is “KGBSurvivalist”. It’s going to be awesome stuff, I’m going to be in his videos all the time, and we’ve created this channel because he has so many tools and so much potential that I will not be able to do it by myself.

So he’ll be like my right hand. Well, he’s left-handed so, left hand? Whatever.

But no, it’s not like that, he’s just my friend and he’ll be helping me out a lot and I will be helping him out a lot. And just two heads are better than one, right? That’s what we say in Russia I think.

Think this is great, but can I suggest you wipe the top of the can after rubbing it on the brick as all the crap on the top might fall into your food.

    Great thanks.
You’re lucky if you have a can. It might take a long time to find concrete when you’re hiking. Maybe rock surfaces will work just as well.
Clean it first if you can. Watch out that you don’t cut yourself on the lid while squeezing!!! Edges are sharp. Watch out for infections!
You can keep the lid and use it as a knife. I would keep the empty can too.

Great video…the comment about wiping the top to get the crud off….during an emergency…if you had to do that to survive…guessing crap would be your last concern.

I try to keep a small file in my kit at all times. But if I don’t have my kit, I probably wouldn’t find a can of meat. I am a country boy.
