How To Make A Glowstick Alarm

how to make a glowstick alarm

You may be wondering why you would ever want to make a glowstick alarm, but I’m sure if you really think about it, you can come up with some reasons. Plus it’s cool :P The purpose of this device is to warn you when someone crosses your perimeter. The rat trap, when tripped, breaks the glowstick and causes it to illuminate. So, not only will you hear the trap snap shut, you’ll see where your perimeter was breached.

Here’s how to make one plus a cool video of it in action…

Yeah. 15 seconds AFTER the trap goes off and only barely then. Glowsticks need to be shaken so unless there is some way to agitate either the stick or the whole contraption after it is set off any illumination provided will come long after the trap as been sprung giving the “culprit” a fairly large window to escape through.
